Notebook

You may remember seeing a couple of projects I had created for Kathy last week as part of her welcome to the team when she signed up to become a new SU! Demonstrator.  You can see the previous items here & here.

Well, today is the Notebook I covered for her.  I am loving the final result of the book considering I wasn’t sure how it was going to end up looking like.

I covered the back & spine of the Notebook with Soft Sky CS & the front with a piece of  “Falling in Love” DSP.  I then die cut a piece of Sweet Sugarplum CS with the “So Detailed” Thinlits which is part of the “So in Love” Bundle, page 52 of the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

This was cut back to size & adhered to the front of the Notebook.  I decided the book needed a Bookmark, so I adhered a piece of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon down the side.

Still not happy with it, I then decided to add Kathy’s name to the front.  I die cut her name from the Little Letters Framelits (retired), 3 times in Very Vanilla CS as I wanted her name to pop.  I adhered all the letters onto each other with the top letters being a little off centre.  They were then adhered across the Die.  The book seemed to come alive.

To finish it off, I punched a small butterfly from Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper using the Itty Bitty Punch & adhered it to the top of the Notebook.

Pop back in a couple of days time & I’ll show you what I created to hold everything.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Post-It Notes

A part of the small gift I posted off to Kathy (new Downline), were Post-It Notes which I thought would be very handy for her.

Again, I’ve used the lovely “Falling in Love” DSP but teamed it up with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum which was embossed with the “Falling Petals” EF & is part of the “Falling in Love” Suite, Page 51.  The base of the Holder is Soft Sky.

I also punched a Butterfly from the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.

Mini Cups…

… of Ferrero Rochers.  Now who doesn’t love these gorgeous yummy chocolates?  I can’t have them in my house as they would not last 5 minutes.  Lets face it – I LOVE chocolate…..

I found this idea on Pinterst sometime ago but didn’t keep the link, so thank you very much for your inspiration & tutorial.  I’m sure if you googled them, they would come up.  I think I saw a tutorial along the way on You Tube using the Envelope Punch Board but I didn’t use that.  I also made my own spin on them including little doilies or saucers.

As I’ve mentioned I did a Christmas Fair a couple of weeks ago & these were another item very popular with the public.  I also gave them to a group of ladies when we went out for lunch a week or so ago.

These ladies I had not seen since our days in Darwin while in the Navy together.  It was like we had only seen each other yesterday as our conversations carried on where we left off all those years ago.  It is fantastic to have great friends but if you haven’t been in the forces, the friendships formed cannot be truly understood.

Anyhow, I am off the track – Along with “This Christmas” Speciality Paper for my cups, I’ve used the lovely little Stamp Set “Holy Berry Happiness” Bundle from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and the greeting from “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set.  The little doilies/saucers were created using the “Layering Circles” Framelits.

Aren’t they just too cute?

Until next time, Enjoy!

Star of Peace

Our star was created in our last Technique Class 2 weeks ago.  Everyone had a different colour DSP which made it a little bit more fun.

The inspiration was taken from the Holiday Catalogue, Page 22.  All I did was add an extra smaller star & used the Christmas Greetings Dies from page 34 of the same catalogue.

Tiny Gift Box

Today’s post is the last of our projects we created at our Play Day a few weeks ago.  It was created by Naomi who very generously shared it with us.  In saying this, it is very easy to create but I had so much trouble creating it that it just about took me 2 weeks to get it right.  I know, you are shaking your head in disbelief.  Maybe I just wasn’t in the “zone”!

It is perfect for chocolates, a little bit of jewellery or little nick knacks for that special person for Christmas or in fact by changing out the DSP, etc any occasion.

For your own tutorial to create the box, please click on the link above the photo.

Pack of Cards

While deciding to create a Pack of Cards sometime ago, I decided to use this piece for the box front.  I actually found a tutorial on Pinterest, which I am unable to find now & altered it to fit the Australia 11B Envelopes.  Thank you so much for your inspiration & Tutorial.

I began by sponging a piece of Whisper White CS in Pink Pirouette & then Pear Pizzazz Inks.  Once complete, I then stamped the Background Stamp (non SU!) over the top in Early Espresso Ink.  I actually stamped off once or twice prior to stamping as I wanted it to be a lighter shade.

The stamped image are from “Awesomely Artistic” Stamp Set which have been stamped in Early Espresso Ink.

The Butterfly is from “Watercolor Wings” which has been stamped in Pink Pirouette & Pear Pizzazz Inks, prior to cutting out with matching Bold Butterfly Framelits & adhered to the bottom part of the box with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  This is to keep the lid of the box closed.

The layered Butterfly has been cut from Early Espresso by running through the Big Shot with the Butterflies Thinlits & adhered to the centre of the stamped butterfly & Rhinestones adhered down the centre.

If you check back in a few days time, I will sho you the 4 cards I created to fit inside the box.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

A Mother…

I was asked to create something for a Mother’s Day Raffle for a market I attended last Saturday.  After surfing the net for an idea, I saw this card by Ann Craig. Perfect for what I had in mind.  I actually had the colours & Stamp Set “Flower Shop” sitting on my desk from another project – will post at  later date.

I purchased these frames for a couple of wedding jobs, but decided to create a couple of frames for Mother’s Day.  I’ve actually had a couple of requests for them, so it was perfect timing.  These will be posted in the net couple of weeks leading up to & after Mother’s Day.

The “Mother” wording I found on Pinterest & was perfect with what I wanted.  It was printed onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.

I stamped the same piece of Card using Mossy Meadow Ink & the Leaf image from “Kinda Eclectic“.  I randomly stamped an image from the “Gorgeous Grunge” Stamp Set in Hello Honey ink.

The flowers from “Flower Shop” & “Petite Petals” were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink & punched out with the matching Punches – “Blossom” & “Petite Petals” prior to adhering to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish it off prior to placing back into the frame, I scatted Pearls around the card & to the centres of the flowers.

I’m really happy with the Frame, so I only hope the winner of the raffle is too.  I think they will be happy that it can be used again.

Thank you Ann for your inspiration.

Until next time, Happy Stampin;

Wildflower Meadow

I had to create a Birthday Card for my Sharon – my brother’s partner, last month so I pulled out the lovely & now slightly 005aa-blogaddictive “Wildflower Meadow” Stamp.  I had my Colour Coach still sitting on my desk from a previous project & went for a colour I don’t usually play with – Island Indigo.  I then decided that I was going to do a bit of a monochromatic look & bring in Pool Party but with a lot of Whisper White.  As I’ve been doing a lot of Heat Embossing, I decided to continue with it & pulled out my Pool Party Embossing Powder.

Once I had completed my Embossing, I found Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon that I have left over & decided to use it on the card.  I then tied a small Bow & adhered to the top with a Glue Dot.  Looking at it, I opted to leave off a greeting & go with what was in front of me.  002n-b;pgSometimes it is better to have a blank card as you can then use it for all occasions.

To finish the card, I coloured a few Pearls with my Blendabilites until I got a colour that was close to Island Indigio & adhered them to the centre of the flowers.

I liked the card so much that I created another & a matching Notebook.

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Post It Notes

I created Post-It Notes for my last Christmas Market, which surprised me as they proved to be popular.  You can never tell month to month, so I only do a few to showcase & then take orders.

I wanted to try & create them like a card instead of just using DSP for the backgrounds.

I don’t have photos of all the ones I created but did take a photo of a couple.  Along with the photo of each one, I’ve listed what I used – that I can remember!

Post-It Notes #1014bb-blog

I stamped the “Swallowtail” image onto Whisper White CS with Chocolate Chip Ink.  The image was stamped so that once the Post-It Notes were adhered to the Frame, it would not be covered up.  I then randomly coloured the image with a Blender Pen, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral Markers.

A piece of Crochet Trim (Retired) was adhered to the top part of the card, ends tucked under.  I didn’t adhere the Trim across the Card as I wanted the trim to be tied on the top of the Frame.

The whole piece was then adhered to a piece of Pink Pirouette CS prior to sliding inside the Frame.  The Post-It Notes were adhered to the top, a knot tied at the top with the Crochet Trim & a small Biro attached to the top of the Notes.

Post-It Notes #2015bb-blog

I randomly tamped a piece of Very Vanilla CS in Crumb Cake Ink using the large Rose from the “Stippled Blossom” Stamp Set.  I again stamped 2 images onto scrap Whisper White CS in Crumb Cake & Early Espresso Inks prior to cutting out the images & adhering to the stamped Very Vanilla CS.  Leaves were punched from Early Espresso CS with the Bird Builder Punch prior to adhering to the card.

The piece was then layered onto Early Espresso CS.

A piece of retired Early Espresso Ribbon was adhered across the frame & a bow tied to the side.  The Post-It Notes were adhered to the frame front along with a matching Biro – not seen in photo.

Post-It Notes #3

Leaves from “Kinda Eclectic” Stamp Set were randomly stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla CS with Pear Pizzazz Ink and the splash image from the “Gorgeous Grunge” Stamp Set in Calypso Coral Ink.  This piece was layered onto a piece of Calypso Coral CS.

013bb-blogThe flower image from the “Blended Bloom” Stamp Set direct onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla CS prior to colouring with Calypso Coral Blendabilities & cutting around images.

A small butterfly from the same set was stamped in Calypso Coral & punched with the corresponding “Bitty Punch” prior to adhering to the card, Pearls adhered to the centre prior to inserting into the Frame.

Post-It Notes were adhered to the front of Frame along with a small Biro.

Painted Blooms DSP

I suddenly realised I hadn’t shared the 2nd part of my project I gave to Naomi.  This is the Notebook which accompanied the Frame (if you click on “Frame” you can see the 1st part of the gift).019ae-blog1

I had a couple of Notebooks sitting on my desk waiting to be covered & decided to use one of them & cover it to match the frame.  This DSP is just so gorgeous & screams to be used in different ways besides creating cards.

Along with the DSP down the spine, I used Soft Sky Card for the front & back covers.  The Ribbon sort of fell off the hook when walking past & to my surprise matched perfectly – non-SU!

I cut a the centre from a piece of Whisper White CS using the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits, placed a piece of DSP behind & layered it to a piece of Blushing Bride CS prior to adhering to the front of the Notebook.  I thought doing it this way created a sort of frame for the DSP.019ae-blog

I then decided to add “N” for Naomi & cut her initial from Soft Sky CS using the Little Letters Thinlits, adhered it to Whisper White which I punched with the 1″ Circle Punch & adhered it to a piece of Rose Red CS which had been punched with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch prior to adhering to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Of course, I had to finish it off with another Butterfly to match the Frame, so I cut the Butterfly from Soft Sky Card & the Butterfly Thinlits  before adhering to the front with Pearls in the centre.

I think Naomi loved it all.  I know I did.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
