Kylie’s International Blog Highlights

G’Day Stampers,

Today I am once again taking part in Kylie’s International Blog Highlights where this month it is all about “LOVE”.  Thank you so much for everyone who voted for me last month.  It was very much appreciated.Lovely-Words---Inside

Not sure of what is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.

What is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other Vote for Me Heretalented successful demonstrators.

What do I do?  All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.

I wanted to challenge myself to creating with older product & not something from SAB or the Occasions Catalogue.  I think I have done so except for the Brushos.  I really have to stop myself from using these all the time.  Although in saying that I’ve only used the Gamboge & Yellow on my card today.  Mind you, it is nothing what I started out to create but I’m happy with it especially the colours.

Lovely-Words---Close-UpDon’t forget to pop on over to check out all the other lovely creations by visiting Kylie’s Blog.  While there, be sure to vote for your 5 favourites.

If you click on the link below (above the photo) you will be able to download a tutorial to create your own card.  It includes measurements (metric & imperial), supply list along with the instructions.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

353. Hugs & Kisses – Lovely Words Thinlits

Best Wishes

Petal-Palette-Bermuda-Bay - Inside

G’Day Stampers,

Today I am going to share with you one of the cards we created in our Creative Cards Class last Tuesday.  It is using the lovely Petal Passion Suite, Page 22 of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.  It includes the Petal Palette Stamp Set, Petals & More Thinlits, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Petal Passion Embellishments & the Petal Passion DSP.  I am loving this Petal-Palette-Bermuda-Bay--Suite, especially the papers.  The Stamp Set & Thinlits are also available as a Bundle.

I actually took my inspiration from the samples on Page 22 although changed a little to suit what I wanted.

I had a lovely morning & the ladies said they loved their cards which is always an added bonus.

If you click on the link below, you will be able to download & print a tutorial to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

True Gentleman

Today I am sharing with you our 2nd card created last Friday using the True Gentleman Suite from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue, Page 44.  I am actually loving the colours & design of the True Gentleman DSP.  Perfect for the males but which could also be used for females.

To create our shapes, we punched pieces of the DSP using the Tailored Tag Punch before layering them onto a piece of Night of Navy leaving a small amount showing aroundTruly-Tailored-1---Inside shapes.

The sentiment was coloured with the Chocolate Chip & Tranquil Tide Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping direct onto a piece of Very Vanilla.

A piece of Linen Thread was threaded threw a button from the True Gentleman Button Pack & added to the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot.

By clicking on the link below, you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Kylie’s International Top Ten February Winners Blog Hop

I was one of the lucky ones who made it to the top ten in Kylie’s International Blog Hop last month with this card using the Petal Palette.  Because of your vote, I get to hop along with 9 other lucky Demos.  Thank you to everyone who voted for me.  It is very much appreciated.

Once again our theme is “Sale-a-Bration and Occasions Catalogue Product”..

While creating this card for the hop, it suddenly occurred to me that it could go in the Springtime-Foil-DSP---Flowemail today for a friend who is celebrating her birthday.

I am loving the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP from the SAB 2nd release & available while stocks last.  It is perfect for colouring, fussy cutting, backgrounds & just about everything else you can think of.

I’ve coloured a couple of the flowers from the DSP with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut & adhered to the card front.  The silver bling is actually Rhinestone Basic Jewels covered with VersaMark & heat set with Silver Emboss Powder.  I wanted something a little different & to match in with this gorgeous paper.

If you click on the link above the card, you will be able to download your free tutorial to create your own card.  It includes a list of products used, measurements (metric & imperial) plus the instructions..

Below the photo, you will find a Roll Call.  All you have to do is click on the names to take you over to their post.  Don’t forget to leave a little “love” while visiting.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

When I first saw the Party Pandas Stamp Set in the 2018 Sale-A-Bration Catalogue an idea popped into my head.  Mind you, once I had started on the idea, it sort of sat on my desk for a week or 2 staring at me waiting to be finished.  Well I can say I did actually finish it some time ago but then decided it was going to be one of our cards that we would create in our Cards @ Toogoom Class.  That day was last Friday.

Along with the Party Pandas Stamp Set I’ve teamed it up with the Bubbles & Fizz DSP Inside-Party-Pandas-Lemon-L(Sale-A-Bration) plus the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder.  The Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday is from the same set & has been stamped 4 times onto Whisper White CS – 1 x Bermuda Bay, 1 x Daffodil Delight, 1 x Lemon Lime Twist & 1 x Memento Tuxedo Black Inks.

Don’t forget you too, can earn both the Party Pandas Stamp Set & the Bubbles & Fizz DSP for free when you spend $AUD90 while Sale-A-Bration is on.

Remember to use the Host Code for February when shopping Online.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Celebrate You – SSC171

G’Day Stampers,

Today I am playing along with a challenge over at Sunday Stamps.  The challenge this week is “Pops of Pink“.  As I’ve been playing with the gorgeous “Painted with Love” Specialty DSP ” it was the perfect choice.  SSC171

I’ve kept my layout fairly simple so that I could showcase the beautiful paper as well as the flower from the “Beautiful Day” Stamp Set.

The sentiment is from the same set & was stamped direct onto the Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I’ve used both Pink Pirouette & Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Combos to colour my flower while the leaf has been Beautiful-Day-Pink-Insidecoloured with Old Olive & Daffodil Delight.

To lift the flower away from the DSP, I added a small amount of Gold Metallic Thread which I think ties it altogether. To finish it off I added a little touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the petals.

If you click on the link below you will be able to download a free tutorial to create your own card.  The tutorials includes measurements (metric & imperial) along with a list of supplies used to create the card.

Thank you ladies for a great challenge.  Do pop along to Sunday Stamps to check out all the other lovely creations.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

329. Happy Birthday – Beautiful Day

Day 2 – Joy to the World

Today I am showcasing the gorgeous Hearts Come Home” Bundle which includes the Hearts Come Home Stamp Set & the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies.  Although the items are not retiring, after 2 January they will not be available as a Bundle.Cards-@-Toogoom

The card was created in our Cards @ Toogoom class last week & the ladies loved it.  A very simple card but one with a bit of a wow!  What do you think?

Don’t forget you can create your own card by downloading the free tutorial by clicking on the link below.

Joy to the World - Hearts Come Home Bundle

Oh, Hello Friend

I have been playing lots with the Embossing Paste the last few weeks – loving this stuff &Oh-So-Eclectic-inside also working on a couple of Creative Card Classes.  One of the classes will be using the Paste, so be sure to book your spot.

I teamed the paste up with my new Oh, So Eclectic Bundle which only come in the post last week & has been sitting on my desk waiting & waiting.

Creative Cards are held the 1st & 2nd Tuesday of the month or the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month…..  You can find all the details on the Classes/Workshop Page.

My card today is so way out of my comfort zone with all the oranges of Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, So Saffaron & Garden Green.  I am so happy with the card that I have actually decided to include it in one of the classes in the next Oh,-So-Eclectic---close-upmonth or so.  Mind you, it doesn’t look much but it has taken me hours to finally create it what with all the playing & changing of colours, but hey that is the fun part of creating.

The flowers have been coloured & blended with my good ol’ Blender Pen.  I don’t know what I would do without it.  I then highlighted the flowers with a little Clear Wink of Stella.  It brings out he colours so much more.

The leaves were stamped using the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & again coloured with Old Olive Ink & Blender Pen.  The Old Olive is a nice contrast against the Garden Green background.

I will let you in on a little secret, the circle was not originally on the card which meant the flowers were sort of lost in the background, so I sponged a die cut circle in So Saffron, popped them on & then onto the card.  Made all the difference as it now looks like a completely different card.

I’m not gonna be mean & not share the tutorial today, so don’t forget to click on the link below to grab it so you, too can create a card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

252. Oh, Hello Friend – Oh, So Eclectic

Happy Birthday

A couple of weeks ago I created 2 cards using the fun “Bike Ride” Bundle.  Well today I amBike-Ride---Iside showing you the 3rd card created using basically the same supplies, colours & layout.  The differences being I’ve used Chocolate Chip as my Base Card, Embossing Paste & Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip Ink Re-Fills along with Sunshine Sayings for my greeting.

To achieve my “footpath”,  I added a 3 small amounts of Embossing Paste onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, added a very tiny drop of Crumb Cake & Chocolate Chip Ink Refills to 2 of the amounts but not really mixing them.

I placed the “Brick” Decorative Mask to the bottom part of a piece of Whisper White Card, Bike-Ride---Embossing-Pasteapplied the White Embossing Paste followed by the Crumb Cake & then the Chocolate Chip to the Mask.  I found doing it this way, I had a more of a distinctive look with the colours.

The “Happy Birthday” was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White CS, punched with the Classic Label Punch & adhered behind the bike to look like a “flag”.

I’m finding this Bundle lots of fun with lots of ideas popping into my head as I create my cards.

Don’t forget to click on the link below to grab your Free Tutorial to create your own card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
