Bike Ride

I’ve been playing with the lovely “Bike Ride” Bundle the last couple of days &20170703_112816blog2 I must say I am loving it!  So many possibilities with this lovely set.

I actually created my cards today, yes 2 for the July RAK – Random Act of Kindness that I am a part of.  Love this group!  You too can join.  All you have to do is click on the link below & request to join.  You don’t have to be a SU! Demonstrator.

Along with the Bundle, I’ve used “Glamper Greetings” – grass & sun while the marks on the path have been creating using an image from “Touches of Texture”.

20170703_112806blog1To create my path, I randomly drew lines with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker, coloured & blended with Crumb Cake Ink & Blender Pen.

The sun was stamped in Daffodil Delight, coloured & blended with the Bender Pen.   I then blended a bit of the Daffodil Delight down towards the bike so that it looked like the sun was really shinning.

Random Act of Kindness Cards

RAK

If you follow my blog you know that I am a member of the RAK FB Group where each month we elect to participate in a RAK for the month.  20170607_110446blog-inside
As I was a bit short on time this month, I only sent out 4 cards but that still gives me such delight knowing that someone around the world will be getting “happy mail” & maybe bring a smile to their day.
For the month of June, I wanted to create my cards with colours & a set that I hadn’t used in some time, so I went with Elegant Eggplant & Rose Red.  I teamed the colours with Very Vanilla & “Touches of Texture” Stamp Set.  As was the case last month, the cards were posted early on in the month & before I could write up a tutorial.
For the Elegant Eggplant Card I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla Card with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder before layering onto a Elegant Eggplant Base Card.
I stamped the Flower image onto a piece of Very Vanilla Card using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloured & blended with my Blender Pen & Elegant Eggplant Ink.  The 20170607_110512insidepiece was die cut using the Layering Oval Framelits & run through the Big Shot.  It was layered onto an Elegant Eggplant scallop oval which had been cut using the same Framelits & running through the Big Shot.
The scallop oval was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, Pearl Basic Jewels added to the centre of the flowers & randomly scattered around the oval.  A small bow was tied from Linen Thread & adhered to the bottom of the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
The sentiment is from “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set.  It was stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla in Elegant Eggplant Ink, punched with the Classic Label Punch, adhered to a piece of Elegant Eggplant Card which had been punched with the same Punch, cut in half so that a small amount of colour was showing each end & adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I created the Rose Red Card the same way.
I was very happy with the final product, but would love to know what you think.  Which is your favourite?
Until next time, Happy Stampin’

It is basically the same as my card here (pictured) except for a few slight changes.20170514_072532blog

To create this card, I layered a piece of “Blooms & Bliss” DSP onto a piece of Island Indigo Card & then to a Mint Macaron (retiring) Base Card.

The stem from “Wild About Flowers” was stamped in Mint Macaron Ink (retiring) onto a piece of Whisper White Card, while the flowers are Island Indigo.  The Card was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits & layered onto a Whisper White scallop circle which has been die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits, run through the Big Shot & then adhered to the left hand side of the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

20170514_072625blogThe sentiment from “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” was stamped onto scrap Whisper White Card in Island Indigo Ink, cut down to size, banner shape cut in the right hand end & adhered to Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To complete my card, I tied a small bow using Island Indigo Baker’s Twine (retired), added Rhinestones to the flower centres & randomly scattered them around the card.

I’m happy to say the receiver loved her card.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Celebrate You

Heya Stampers,

This is my last card I am sharing with you using the lovely Floral Boutique DSP which I20170520_101947blog-inside am happy to say have only 2 small strips left.  Yep, managed to use it all up!  Never has this happened to me before.

In fact, using my DSP this way lets me create 2 cards although the DSP ends up opposite way around – check it out in the photo.

I actually created them with my May RAK Cards (Random Act of Kindness) & have since gone off in the mail overseas.  I hope the receivers like them as much as I did creating them.

I used the Wild About Flowers Stamp Set once again & teamed the DSP up with Old Olive & Daffodil Delight.  I think the cards turned out lovely, bright & sunny.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Random Act of Kindness May Card

 RAK

Who doesn’t love receiving happy mail?  I know I do!  It is such a change to the bills we all hate receiving.  I now hop out to collect the mail in anticipation of whether or not I will receive a RAK card.  Mind you, I am just more than happy sending them off knowing that I may be putting a smile on someone’s face for the day than receiving.
You opt in each month as to whether or not you would like to be part of the group & then you randomly select a few people from the group who are participating for the month to send off a RAK card to.  It is amazing to see how it brightens someone’s day!
I’ve made it a goal to send out no less than 2 per week.  Not only does it give me great enjoyment creating the card but knowing that it may put a smile on someone’s face at the end of a long day.
My card today was created for one of my May RAK’s.  No, they don’t have to be all different.  I don’t have a tutorial for you today as I posted them off before I did one.
I layered a piece of “Blooms & Bliss” DSP (retiring) to a piece of Whisper White Card & then to the Base Card – Island Indigo.20170514_072551
I stamped the stem image from the “Wild About Flowers” Stamp Set onto a piece of Whisper White Card in Mint Macaron Ink (retiring & will be very sad to see this colour go) & then stamped the flowers in Island Indigo Ink before die cutting with the oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
A piece of Mint Macaron Card was die cut using the scallop oval from the same set, adhered to the stamped oval & adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ DImensionals.
The sentiment is from “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set, stamped onto scrap Whisper White Card in Island Indigo Ink, punched with the Classic Label Punch & adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To complete my card, I tied a small bow using Whisper White Baker’s Twine (retired), attached it to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot & scattered Rhinestones to the centre of the flowers, randomly around the Card Front & to the greeting.
I was really happy with this card so fingers crossed the receiver is too.
