Happy Birthday

My card today is one I created some time ago using the gorgeous Waterfront Stamp Set from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.  If you haven’t seen it, then please be sure to check the Catalogue & Pinterest.  There is just many ways to use this great set.Waterfront-1---Inside

I actually kept my card fairly simple & easy as I just wanted to get the feel of it.  It is perfect for the male or female.

Today is Your Day

G’Day Stampers,

I am having a little trouble getting back into blogging at the moment so fingers crossed all will be back to normal.

I’m sharing with you one of the new suites from the 2018 Occasions CatalogueTrue Gentleman Suite.  Love it!  Mind you, I was in 2 minds as to whether I would purchase it but as usual once in my hands, it is totally different.  Lots of ideas.  I am actually in the middle of planning a class around it.

I wanted to create a very quick simple card but one with a bit of a wow factor showcasing the lovely DSP from True Gentleman DSP.  I took my inspiration from the Catalogue.January

Global Stamping Friends Anniversary Blog Hop

Today I am taking part in an Anniversary Blog Hop happening over at Global Stamping Friends which is a group of Demonstrators from all around the world.  We are celebrating 12 months since the group started & boy has it grown!

For the special Anniversary Hop our theme is ANNIVERSARY of course!logo

I was so undecided as to what I was going to use & how to create my card that I ended up totally confused, so I decided to keep it simple with lots of white.

The past week or so I have been experimenting  with my inks & stamps, trying new ways of stamping & colouring.  My image was inspired by a card sitting on my desk which I will share with you sometime in the future once it has been finished.

My image is from the “Floral Phrases” Stamp Set which was inked using Pink Pirouette & Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers & stamped direct onto a piece of Whisper White CS.  I then grabbed my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker, scribbled colour onto a Block & picking up small amounts of colour at a time with a Blender Pen, coloured over areas of the Pink Pirouette.  I repeated the same technique for the leaves using Wild Wasabi Ink.  I think it brings the flower to life.

Floral-Phrases---InsideThe flower was die cut with the oval shape from the Stitched Shape Framelits by running through the Big Shot.  As I wanted my card to be mostly all white, I decided to add a small scallop Whisper White frame behind the oval so I die cut another piece of Whisper White CS using the Layering Ovals Framelits & running through the Big Shot.  This piece was adhered to the stamped oval.

I embossed a piece of Whisper White CS with the Softly Falling EF before layering onto the Base Card – Flirty Flamingo.  The oval shape was adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the “Beautiful Bouquet” Stamp Set.  I thought it suited the card & blog hop perfectly.  It was stamped onto scrap Whisper White CS in Flirty Flamingo, cut each end into a Banner Shape & adhered to the bottom of the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card.  Be sure to check out all the other wonderful creations joining the blog hop.
