Scrapbook Page

Over the past month or so I have slowly been scrapping away at my niece’s photos & getting them posted to her.  Some I have kept for future Memories & More Scrapbooking Classes (check out the Class Page) while others have gone straight down to her.  Bonnie is loving the surprise of opening the packages & not knowing what photos have been done or if photos have been included…

Today’s page is one we created in our class on Sunday week.  It is going to be repeated later on at the request of a couple of ladies who couldn’t make it on the day but want to create the pages.  There have been a few ladies saying that they will be back to do the same class again, as they have heaps of photos to scrap.  This means that the pages will look totally different with new photos.

For my page I cut a piece of the retired “Peace This Christmas” DSP, adhered to a strip of Garden Green before adhering to a piece of Very Vanilla & then to Cherry Cobbler Card.  The Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler are part of the with the “Be Merry” Cardstock Pack.

A piece of Very Vanilla was cut back to size so that we could fit 4 x photos on it & adhered Holly-Berry-Happiness-Page-to the Cherry Cobbler Base.  Some of the ladies settled for 2 x photos which looked fine on the layout.

We stamped a couple of the holly branch image from the Holly Berry Happiness Stamp Set onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, coloured & blended with our Blender Pens before fussing cutting.  The bows were stamped in the same ink but coloured with Cherry Cobbler & punched out with the matching Holly Berry Builder PunchWe stamped a number of the small holly images onto scraps of Very Vanilla CS, coloured & blended with Garden Green before punching with the same Punch & adhering to the braches of holly with the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

They were then adhered down the side of the page, the bows adhered to the tops with Mini Glue Dots & Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots (retired) adhered to the branch.

For the title, we cut a banner shape into each end, adhered a couple of the left over holly images to each end along with the Candy Dots before adhering to the bottom part of the page.

To finish off the page, some of the ladies then scattered a couple of the Candy Dots around the page.

The page would suit the new Be Merry DSP too.  It is just that my order didn’t arrive in time.  The ladies were more than happy to see how I use the retired DSP.  Mind you the pages were great sellers for both the Stamp Set & DSP.

Be sure to check out the Class Page for our next class.  We will be creating 2 beach pages.  All you need to bring is yourself & or a friend.  Everything is supplied.

Be sure to check back in a few days time when I will show you our 2nd page.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Mini Cups…

… of Ferrero Rochers.  Now who doesn’t love these gorgeous yummy chocolates?  I can’t have them in my house as they would not last 5 minutes.  Lets face it – I LOVE chocolate…..

I found this idea on Pinterst sometime ago but didn’t keep the link, so thank you very much for your inspiration & tutorial.  I’m sure if you googled them, they would come up.  I think I saw a tutorial along the way on You Tube using the Envelope Punch Board but I didn’t use that.  I also made my own spin on them including little doilies or saucers.

As I’ve mentioned I did a Christmas Fair a couple of weeks ago & these were another item very popular with the public.  I also gave them to a group of ladies when we went out for lunch a week or so ago.

These ladies I had not seen since our days in Darwin while in the Navy together.  It was like we had only seen each other yesterday as our conversations carried on where we left off all those years ago.  It is fantastic to have great friends but if you haven’t been in the forces, the friendships formed cannot be truly understood.

Anyhow, I am off the track – Along with “This Christmas” Speciality Paper for my cups, I’ve used the lovely little Stamp Set “Holy Berry Happiness” Bundle from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue and the greeting from “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set.  The little doilies/saucers were created using the “Layering Circles” Framelits.

Aren’t they just too cute?

Until next time, Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

I had a stall at the local Christmas Fair 2 weeks ago.  Wow, talk about being organised & so well set up.  I couldn’t believe it.  Thank you so much to John & the team.  Thank you to Wendy, Irene & their volunteers who help set up Santa’s Workshop for the kids – they loved it.

I like to create packs of 3 x 3 Gift Cards for Christmas & find they are very popular.  This year I decided to use the new “Holly Berry Happiness” Bundle from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.  The packs have 6 cards & envelopes in each.

I stamped the Holly Image direct onto a piece of Whisper White Card in Garden Green Ink.  The “Merry Christmas” is from “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” & was stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink.

The bow was stamped in Real Red Ink direct onto scraps of Real Red Card before punching with the coordinating Holly Punch & adhering to the Holly with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The piece was then layered onto the Base Card of Real Red.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Here’s to Cheers

I have a short post for you today but one using the great little “Here’s to Cheers” Bundle, Page 39 from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.

I created a heap of these tags, bundled them up into packs of 4 for the Christmas Fair I 20161220_130752_resizedblogdid a couple of weeks ago.  Much to my surprise they proved very popular & even received a couple of orders for more.  I had the bottle on display (cased from the Catalogue) along with the packs of Tags sitting on my table. Orders come in for Wine Bottles to be created the same as the display bottle.  Much to my dismay I forgot to take photos as they were all different.

To create my Tags, I basically followed the “Cheerful Tags” Framelit Dies & then worked in the colours of Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Foil along with Ribbons, some of which have been retired.

I can see myself using this Bundle a lot more & for other occasions.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Best Wishes

…for the Season.

I was asked to create a card sometime ago in traditional colours which I’ve done but with a modern twist to it.  In fact this is the card we created at the hall last Friday.

I’ve used the “Detailed Ornament” Framelits, “This Christmas Speciality” DSP & the Softly Falling EF to create my card.  I also played with Dazziling Diamonds which I haven’t done in some time.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Merry Christmas

Not long now until Christmas!

When the 2016 Holiday Catalogue first come out, a card on Page 3 popped out at me.  As I 20161105_133418_resizedinsidon’t have the stamp set they used, I do have my favourite “A Day at the Beach“, which I payed with to create my version.

I am a lover of non-traditional Christmas & I think this card is Australia to a “T”.  It will be in my part of the world anyhow.  I am spending part of Christmas Day on the beach.  Where will you spending your day?

Merry Christmas

I have a quick & easy Christmas Card for you today in non-traditional colours.  Mind you when looking at it, you could easily change it out to whatever you wanted.  I actually took my inspiration from a card I shared a couple of weeks ago.20161025_075428_resizedblog

I embossed a piece of Whisper White CS with the Holly Textured EF before layering onto a piece of Pink Pirouette CS.

I die cut a piece of Whisper White CS using the using the Layered Circles Framelits (love these), stamped the leaf from the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz Ink. “Merry Christmas” from the Teeny Tiny Stamp Set has been stamped in Smokey Slate Ink.

I then layered the stamped circle onto a piece of Smokey Slate CS which had been cut using the Scallop Circe from the Layered Circles Framelits & then adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I coloured a couple of Pearls with a permanent marker before adhering to the berries.  To complete my card, I tied a small bow from a piece of Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine (Retired) & adhered it to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

As I said, a quick & easy card but one, I think is sweet.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Christmas Wishes

I’m still plugging along with my Christmas Cards & must say that now I have created a few, I am slowly getting into them.

My card today started out as a case from the Annual Catalogue but again, took a mind of its own.  Looking at it now, it is nothing like the one on Page 26.

I’ve used the lovely Holly Textured EF, along with the cute Holly Berry Happiness Bundle from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue, plus a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Rhinestones & Baker’s Twine.  I’ve teamed the Whisper White with Pool Party, Crushed Curry & Chocolate Chip, which I must admit I would never have teamed up together but am loving the colours!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
