Remarkable You….

…. is one of my favourites & is on the Retirement List.20170408_091111_resizedblog (2)

I love this set & haven’t used it in awhile, so I thought I would share with you a card I did a couple of weeks ago inspired from a card I found on Pinterest.  Thank you Alison for your inspiration.

I layered a piece of “Floral Boutique” DSP to a Whisper White Card Base.

2 flowers from “Remarkable You” Stamp Set were stamped direct onto scrap Whisper White CS in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink before being coloured with Melon Mambo & Old 20170408_091124_resizedinsiOlive Watercolour Pens & Aqua Painter.  Once dry, I then fussy cut both images before adhering them to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The leaves were cut from Old Olive CS by running through the Big Shot with the Rose Garden Thinlits, trimming down to have only the leaves before adhering to the Card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

The sentiment is from the “Lift Me Up” Stamp Set, stamped onto a piece of scrap Whisper White CS, fussy cut & adhered to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A small bow was then tied from Whisper White Baker’s Twine (retired) & adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside, I adhered a piece of the same “Floral Boutique” DSP to a piece of Whisper White CS & adhered it inside.

It’s a very quick card but one with a punch with just the pop of Melon Mambo in the flowers.

Don’t forget to grab your set before it is gone forever.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

FMS #284

I saw a great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches yesterday & thought it would be FMS Final 284-001perfect to showcase the  “Grateful Bunch” Stamp Set & the matching “Blossom” Punch both of which are retiring.

To create my card I stamped the leaf direct onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock in Wild Wasabi Ink.  I created a small faux stitched border around the Card using a Ruler & the Marina Mist Stampin’ Write Marker.  I didn’t go with Pacific Point as I wanted to tone it down a little.

I then stamped the large Sunflower onto a scrap of Whisper White in Archival Basic Grey Ink, coloured with the Pacific Point Watercolour Pencil & Blender Pen before fussy cutting.

I stamped the group of flowers a number of times onto Whisper White with Archival Basic Grey Ink including extra small flowers, coloured with the Daffodil Delight & Melon Mambo Watercolour Pencils & Blender Pen.  I punched all flowers using the “Blossom” 20170420_090100blog-insidePunch.

Clear Wink of Stella was applied to the flowers to add shine & to bring out the colour a little more.  Gold Wink of Stella (retiring) was applied to centre of the large flower.

Marina Mist strips were adhered to both sides of the stamped Whisper White before layering onto a piece of Whisper White & then to the Base Card – Pink Pirouette.

The flowers were arranged onto the Card Front & adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue & Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the “Love & Affection” Stamp Set (retiring) & is stamped onto a piece of Whisper White in Archival Basic Grey Ink before cutting back to size & layered onto a piece of Marina Mist.  Both ends were then punched using the “Banner Triple” Punch & adhering to the Card Front.

To complete the card I added Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers & randomly scattered a couple over the front.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the leaf onto Whisper White in Wild Wasabi Ink & added the extra flowers  left over from the front.April

Thank you ladies for a great challenge.  Just what I needed to help showcase the sweet “Grateful Bunch” Stamp Set & the matching “Blossom” Punch.

Painter’s Palette

I must admit that I don’t think this set has seen ink much at all.  I am still trying to get20170408_091149_resizedblog (2) through all my stamps before the new Catalogue comes out which means over the next couple of weeks, I will be showcasing some of my less stamped sets.  Today’s card is just that!

I’m also happy to say that I’ve used the matching “Playful Palette” Washi Tape.  Now all I need to do is create a card using the matching “Playful Palette” DSP Stack & I will be happy.  This suite uses some of the 2016-2018 In Colours of Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach & Sweet Sugarplum.

20170408_091200_resizedblogTo create my card, I added strips of the Washi Tape across the top of Very Vanilla CS before layering onto a piece of Basic Black CS & then to the Base Card of Peekaboo Peach.

I stamped the easel onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, the stamped the “spat” Image into the centre with Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum & Peekaboo Peach Inks before die cutting with the Layering Squares Framelits.  The top of the easel was fussy cut while the legs were stamped direct onto the card.  I stamped the sentiment direct over the stamped images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

The “square” was adhere to the Card Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as was the top of the easel.  To finish the card I added 3 x Basic Black Candy Dots (retired).

For the inside, 2 x strips of Washi Tape was adhered down the left hand side of Very Vanilla CS before being layered inside the Card.

I know it is a very simple & easy card but one that showcases this lovely set & the Washi Tape.

I would love to know what you think of it.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Day 3 – Any Occasion

Today’s post is a little late.  I can’t seem to get my act together even though my card was created way ahead of time.20170329_091110_resizedblog

I’ve used the “Carried Away” DSP along with the “Any Occasion” Stamp Set, both from Sale-a-Bration.   I did get my inspiration from a card on Page 15 of the Catalogue but then used our sketch we have for our team to play with.  I teamed the Stamp Set & DSP with the matching “Up & Away” Framelits from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

Ahoy There

My card I am sharing with you today was created for a challenge but as usual, completely forgot to post it.  Well, to be honest, I couldn’t find what challenge I did it for.  Does that ever happen to you?

I’ve used the lovely “By the Shore” DSP & the co-ordinating “Seaside Shore” Stamp Set.  I teamed it up with Dapper Denim & Very Vanilla Card.  Inks were Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim & Calypso Coral.  My Blender Pen was used to colour parts of the “coral”.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Hello

I am sharing a card today that was created for one of our Technique Treats #8 – “Faux Linen” – 2 ways where we used the lovely stamp set “A Day at the Beach” which is from the 2016 Holiday Catalogue.

I’ve done lots of sponging – moon, waves & sand.  The dolphin, thongs & ball have been coloured with Inks & Blender Pen. I’ve adhered them to the Card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I’ve used the Faux Linen Technique on the Basic Black Background.

There is so much potential with the lovely little stamp set.

If you want to create more cards using this great technique, be sure to head on over to the “Technique Treats” Page.

Don’t forget, tomorrow is the release of our November Treats.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

What is it?

G’day Stampers,

A little something different today.  I am sharing with you a card I did a few months ago which has been sitting on my desk waiting patiently to be posted.  I’ve kept it blank for the moment & will stamp a greeting on the front once the occasion happens.

This is my version of a “Magic Card” or is it a “Sliding Card“?  It could be a “Magic Sliding Card“.  I’m not too sure but will let you decide for yourself.

I layed a piece of DSP over a piece of Whisper White Card,  cut a circle in the centre of both pieces using the Layered Circle Framelits.  I cut a frame using the same Framelit & a size larger from Bermuda Bay Card & set it aside.  Also set aside the piece that you cut from the centre.  This is your front DSP.

So that the DSP Images would match, I then placed the piece with the Circle cut from the middle, matched the images & drew a circle onto the 2nd piece of DSP with a Pencil.  Once I002-2blog had done that, I then very carefully cut the DSP down to the size I wanted still ensuring that the images matched, side to side & top & bottom..

I randomly stamped the birds across both pieces of DSP in Early Espresso Ink not too worried if they matched or not.  I randomly stamped the Reeds along the bottom of the front DSP in Crumb Cake Ink before layering onto a piece of Whisper White Card & layering the Frame around the cut out circle.

For the Base Card, I cut & scored a piece of Bermuda Bay to the size I wanted, cut a circle in the front with the same circle Framelit as the DSP, adhered the extra piece of DSP from the front ensuring the DSP Images matched in & adhered the card together before layering the Front DSP to the top ensuring it all matched.

For the Inside, I  created a little tab from scrap Whisper White Card, punched a small hole with the 1/16″ Handheld Punch, threaded through Linen Thread & adhered the tab to the top of a piece of Whisper White Card before layering 1 piece of the DSP over the Whisper White ensuring the bottom of the tab could not be seen.

I sure hope this is not too confusing as it has been a long time since creating it.  I think I will have to create another just to refresh my memory.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Swiry Bird Bundle

By now you have probably gathered I have lots of lovely new “stuff” to play with.  In saying20160613_085917_resizedwm-b that I was very restraint in placing my first order much to my dismay but happy with what I did order.

For my card today I used the Swirly Bird Bundle (pre-order) which includes the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.  Gotta love it when SU! have great bundles.

#1---JuneYou have probably guessed by now that I used the same Card Sketch I used for my card on Monday, although it does look entirely different to that layout.  Amazing what can happen when you change out stamp sets & colours.  I wanted to show you how to use the same sketch but get an entirely different result.

I did my Sentiment on the pc & printed it up on  scrap piece of Very Vanilla.  I am still looking for my “Teeny Tiny Sentiments” Stamp Set plus 1 or 2 Punches.  No doubt they will turn up, fingers crossed!

Be sure to check back in on Friday as I have another idea using the same layout!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
