Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star…

It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in Kylie’s International Blog Highlights so I thought I would check it out & see what the theme for this month was & that is LOVE!  Of course, love is celebrated in sorts of ways, eg Weddings, Baby, Anniversary, etc.

I actually created my card for a new baby taking the layout from a sketch I saw on Pinterest.  Thank you for the inspiration so that I could create my card.

Not sure of what is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.

What is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other Vote for Me Heretalented successful demonstrators.

What do I do?  All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.  I’m #3!

For my card today I’ve used the cute little “A Little WildStamp Set , Page 108 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.  It is also available as a Bundle.

You could use it for a newborn, birthday, etc.  The set is perfect for all occasions as well as Tags to attach to presents.

I have a couple of other cards in the process of being created using this same set in time for an  Expo that I will be attending in a couple of weeks.  I will post them as soon as they are completed so be sure to pop back & check them out.

To grab your free tutorial, click on the link above the photo.  It includes all product used in the project along with measurements (metric & imperial).

Be sure to check out all the other lovely creations when you pop on over to Kylie’s Blog .  Don’t forget to go & vote for the ones you love & leave them a little love!

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Kylie’s International Blog Highlights

Once again, I am playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights which is so much fun.  This month our theme is BABY!  I will be honest & say I haven’t created a baby’s card for so long.

What is Kylie’s International Highlights?   It is where Demonstrators from all around the world take part in a monthly Blog Highlight.  It’s a great way to get to know other Demonstrators & see projects using current Stampin’ Up!® product.  Each month Kylie has a different theme so we get to play with different product.

Vote for Me HereWhat is so different about this Blog Highlight?  YOU get to vote for your top 5 favourites.  The top ten will then get to take part in an international blog hop with Kylie & other talented successful demonstrators.

What do I do?  All you have to do is click on the “Vote for Me” photo at the side or head on over to Kylie’s Blog, click on the heart in the top right hand side of the picture.

Can I leave comments?  Sure you can.  Once you have voted, click on any picture & comment on those that you really love.  You know how bloggers love to read your comments.

For my card I ended up using the stamp set “Swirly Bird” which was still sitting on my 20170611_121427blog-insidedesk from when I created my cards for my “Creative Cards” class .  I teamed it up with the “Colour Theory” DSP Stack, yep sitting on my desk from my Memories & More Class.   Love, love, love this stack!!!!!!

There is a free tutorial on how I created my card by clicking on the link below.  It gives you all the product used plus the measurements (metric & imperial).

Bundle of Love

I received a brand nephew just before Christmas so today’s card is the one I created for him.  It is not the traditional soft blue as I’ve gone for a bright look.  I didn’t mean to but I seem to be on a “Brights mission” of late.  Have you noticed that with my cards?

I saw this card on Pinterest, so took my inspiration from there.  Thank you so much.

For something a little extra special, I decided to create a Z Fold Card.  The Base is Night of Navy.  I then embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Happy Heart EF & adhered it to the left hand side.

I then stamped the “wash splat” image from the “Sunshine Sayings” Stamp Set direct onto a piece of Whisper White in Daffodil Delight Ink.  I cut a heart from Night of Navy using the Heart from the coordinating “Sunshine Wishes” Framelits which was adhered over the top of the stamped Daffodil Delight.

I die cut a Baby T from Whisper White using the “Baby’s First” Framelits, stamped the little tie from the coordinating “Something for Baby” Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White, die cut with using the little bow Framelit & adhered it to the Baby T.  This was adhered over the Night of Navy Heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Bundle of” from “Sunshine Sayings” Stamp Set was stamped direct onto the stamped card in Night of Navy Ink.

“Love” from the coordinating “Sunshine Wishes” Framelits was die cut in Whisper White, Daffodil Delight & Night of Navy.  I adhered the Night of Navy to the Whisper White & then the Daffodil Delight was adhered to the top but allowing a little bit of the Night of Navy showing to the sides.  It was then adhered to the top of the Baby T. I did the Whisper White so that it would pop a little more.

To complete my card, I randomly scattered Metallic Sequin Assortments around the card before layering onto a piece of Night of Navy & then to the Card Front.

For my inside, I embossed a small piece of Whisper White with the Happy Heart EF, added a small edge of Daffodil Delight down 1 side & layered onto a piece of Whisper White before adhering inside.

From all accounts, the mum loved the card & it has now gone into Leo’s Baby Album.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Happy Birthday

I am sharing with you today one of the cards created for our Pretty Pattern PapersTutorials which are launched the middle of each month.

If you are not familiar with this, it is to try & get you to use your DSP lying around in your cupboard which you don’t really want to cut into, but know that you have so much of the stuff that you really have to start using it.  I know, I was exactly the same & now, well I just love making that first cut into the Paper!  The beauty of these Tutorials, is that the DSP does not have to be current, just as long as you are using your DSP is all that matters.

Don’t forget to check out our “Pretty Pattern Papers” Page for more inspiration!

Until, next time, Happy Stampin’

Pretty Pattern Papers

Crikey, I can’t believe that today’s release will be our 5th.  Where does the time go?  Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us throughout our adventure/s.  It is very much Augustappreciated.

Each month we release a set of 3 cards using DSP (Designer Series Paper), along with a Sketch, Supplies, Measurements & Instructions.  It is a way to get you to use up that lovely stash of Paper you have sitting in your cupboard.  The sketches are able to be used over & over so that you are creating entirely different looks.

This month we are playing with the lovely DSP Stack – “A Little Foxy”.  I love the colours in this stack & will admit that I didn’t want to cut into it, but now I can’t get enough of it.

Throughout the month, I will be creating more cards using this lovely paper, so be sure to pop back to check them out.

We hope you will join us this month.  To purchase your Tutorial, please click on the Pretty Pattern Papers Page.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’

Let’s have some fun!  Polka Dots Fun!
This is the weekly Challenge set by Crazy 4 Challenges!
Design a card/project using Polka Dots.
My take of it is below.  See below for the link to their website, more details & samples.

Supplies –
Cardstock – Whisper White
DSP – Patterns DSP – Pink Pirouette
Punches – Scallop Edge, Scallop Circle, 1 1/4″ Circle
Accessories – Snail Adhesive, Ribbon, Pencil & Rubber, Uni-Ball Gel Pen

I saw this in a magazine a long time ago & it has always been at the back of my mind.  I have never seen one on the internet or if there is, I have not come across one before.  I’ve made a simple tutorial if you are interested in trying one.

Tutorial for Baby Dress –
Instructions –

Dress –
1. Cut Whisper White Cardstock – 4” x 6 “
2. Score card in half
3. Measure halfway along fold
4. Using 1 ¼” Circle Punch, punch small ½ circle for neck
5. Measure down 1 ½” from top of card
6. Measure in ½” from edge, cut – sleeves
7. Repeat Steps 6 & 7 for other side
8. Using a pencil, rule a line starting from where the cut finishes to the bottom of outside of card
There should now be a small slant running down the length of the card
9. Using scissors, cut from bottom to the top – where the cut for the sleeve finishes
10. Repeat Steps 8 & 9 for other side
11. Will now start to look like the shape of a dress
12. Erase pencil lines

Overlay –
1. Cut DSP 4” x 6”
2. Starting from underneath the sleeves, match up against Cardstock, rule shape & cut –
3. Top will be small than bottom
4. Using Scallop Edge, punch hemline – Hem should be about ½” shorter than Card
5. Apply adhesive on DSP & adhere to Card in line with the sleeves
6. Attach matching Ribbon & tie bow
7. Cut small pocket from DSP
8. Apply Faux Sewing along edge of pocket using Uni-Ball Gel Pen
9. Adhere to dress

TIP –
To give a different look –
 Attach a flower, Brads or Buttons instead of bow
 Place a small row of Rhinestones along the top, running from sleeve to sleeve
 Add another layer – opposite side of DSP or something entirely different – Translucent

The List is endless, but I kept mine very clean and simple on purpose!

If you would like to play along all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C18.  Don’t forget to go to http://www.crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/ to upload your card, so as everyone else can see it too.

Until next time, have a great night
Vicky
