SC 028/12…

Another new challenge is up & running over at Sunny Challenges & Creations.  Wouldn’t you think that if I had to set the challenge, I would have some sort of idea on what to create – Nope, No Way, Not me!!!!!!

For this challenge we had to use the Technique – Faux Silk. I love techniques, so this was a great challenge for me.  The sketch is fairly easy too.  So why not join us?

Now don’t be like me & continue tossing out your little scrunched ball.  I did it about 3 times before I realised what I was actually tossing out!

Base Card – Calypso Coral – 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ or 21cm x 15cm – Scored in middle & folded in half

Ink – Calypso Coral
Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake
Ribbon – 1/2″ Crochet – Chantilly

Stamp random images over Crumb Cake Cardstock using Calypso Coral Ink
Adhere Crochet Ribbon towards the bottom of card, tuck ends under
Stamp image direct onto Tissue Paper with Calypso Coral Ink, set aside to dry
Once dry, scrunch into a ball & roughly smooth out.  Don’t try & smooth the wrinkles, as this is part of the technique

Place Anywhere Glue around the piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, ensuring you have enough glue around the edges as well

Place your Tissue Paper to the sticky side of the Very Vanilla Cardstock, smooth over & trim Tissue Paper
Adhere to piece of Calypso Coral & then to Crumb Cake piece
Adhere the whole lot to the Base Card – Calypso Coral
Adhere Pearls to flower centre & 3 Pearls to the Crochet Trim
Stamp sentiment onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock with Calypso Coral Ink
Punch with Oval Punch & adhere to a piece of Calypso Coral which has been punched with Scallop Oval Punch
Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stamp bird image onto scrap piece of Very Vanilla & cut out
Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Place Pearl in centre of eye

I missed a flower centre on my card & didn’t notice it until I went to post the card.  It is now driving me crazy, but too late to fix as this went in the post on Friday.

Why not head over to Sunny Challenges & Creations & check out the gorgeous cards Kris & Shirley have created.

We would love for you to join us.

Until next time, Happy Stampin’
